Dr Christine Geserick is a sociologist and senior researcher at OIF since 2003. Her Master's degree in sociology, psychology and ethnology (in Passau, Münster and Alliance, USA) was followed by a doctorate at the University of Vienna on the topic of "Au-pair in the USA". Her research interests include life course and individualisation, female biographies, social history of the family, young adults and care work in the family context. She is particularly interested in the methodology of qualitative research design. In addition to her research activities, Christine Geserick is teaching family sociology in educational programs for young people and adults.  Since 2020, she has been an external lecturer at the FH Campus Wien for qualitative research methods.
